The Sopranos
Review
This will be second time going through the Sopranos. I generally quite enjoyed it. I don't rend to often gravitate towards the crime shows. And one thing that I did find occasionally confusing with the show is the sheer amount of people, the code we often speak in. I wasn't always totally in the scene understanding what was happening. I expect on subsequent watches that will no longer be the case.

Ending
My take on the Sopranos ending, for what it's worth. I didn't mind it. And I think I see what we're going for. In my opinion, the takaway of Sopranos, it's emotional core is that Tony has systematically over the course of six seasons dismantled his life. He's done this such that we are now at a stage where the next guy that comes through the door may be the one to do him in. Does he die at the end of Sopranos? At that specific scene transition to the credits? Doesn't matter. At any moment he may go. Maybe it's that shifty guy in the diner. Maybe it's the next one. But it doesn't matter anymore because we can no longer pull up and change things. Things are too broken for us to continue. And so there is nothing more for us as viewers to see. And to be clear, I'm not trying to dodge the question of if he was killed or not in that moment. I genuinely believe that it is the intent of the showrunner for us to understand that it does not matter one way or the other.
