Iron Lung (2022)

Summary
Iron Lung is a short horror game where you pilot a tiny submarine through an ocean of blood on an alien moon. It was developed and published by David Szymanski in 2022.
David Szymanski is a good fellow, he makes interesting stuff and I intend to play more if his stuff in the future.
Review
Good stuff, I enjoyed. Not too much to talk about, given how short the thing is. But I must say, as I've said before, I greatly appreciate a svelte focused experience. I like when a game has an idea, we explore the idea, and then we go home. I wouldn't say that the setup quite scared me. I'm too interested in the aesthetics and the idea to really get got by it. I greatly enjoy the open ocean and the unknowns lurking within. Enjoyed the ending, it couldn't have concluded any other way, really.
Do thin it's bewildering that this got a movie. I don't see how that could happen without expanding the scope. Particularly that the thing is two hours! I demand the 90 minute movie, I demand it. You must prove to me that you cannot do a movie without going past that point before you're allowed to make such a movie. Just seems odd. Expanding in any direction feels like a mistake. I don't want to know any more about the setting. It's a perfect little dollop of a treat. You're Running Man'd, sent down into the depths, and you're inevitably harassed and harangued by foul shit down there. What else is there to see? Dunno. I liked what was there, don't think expansion is really needed. May at some point watch. I'd like to in some way support my boy Szymanski.
