A fun forerunner to your Blairs Witch and your Paranormals Activity. I like movies that play a bit with the medium. The dryness and the procedure of the presentation does a lot to make the actual haunting creepier. And there's some good anxiety here, despite the "film's" age. Love when we're being shown a still from the girl's room where there is clearly a person in the curtains that the BBC studio people struggle to see on their end. I also like how understated the appearances of Pipes are around the neighborhood. Just standing there silently behind people, watching. Did the cameras just miss him, or can they not actually see him? Who's to say. I also thought we had an interesting idea here, of multiple ghosts propagating throughout history. We didn't really get too deep into it. But the idea of Pipes having been haunted himself by the previous woman that was there. And that everything going on is just a compounding haunting between generations. Interesting concept that I haven't really seen done elsewhere.

Would've loved to have seen this when I was younger. I can totally imagine it having made a big impact on me. I think the equivalent was Poltergeist, where I saw it quite young and it ended up being fairly formative.
